Care Assistant

What you'll be doing

  • Support residents with personal care, washing and dressing, always with dignity and respect
  • Help with meals, hydration and snacks, encouraging good nutrition
  • Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling
  • Spend time talking, listening and joining in with activities and outings
  • Support residents with medication as directed by senior staff
  • Keep accurate, kind and honest daily care records
  • Spot and report any changes in a resident's health or wellbeing
  • Help keep bedrooms and shared spaces clean, safe and homely

What you'll need

  • A kind, patient and reliable nature — this matters more than anything else
  • Good spoken and written English
  • The right to work in the UK
  • A willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
  • Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including some weekends
  • Experience in care is welcome but not essential — full training is provided

Never worked in care before? If you've raised a family, looked after a relative, or simply care about people, you already have the most important qualification. We'll teach you the rest.
